A-1 Economy Inn

Stayed for two nights. Wasn't sure what to expect for the price. Was pleasantly surprised. Clean rooms and friendly motel staff. A little dated, however, big TV, clean beds, hot shower and breakfast in the morning. The lobby itself is definitely something to see!

This place is awesome! The lobby is a jungle. Worker at the desk was top 5 nicest people ever born, and there was a VHS in our room. There was a landscaper working at like 10PM. They LOVE their vegetation. The room made me think of a Dexter episode, but we truly enjoyed our stay.

Room was clean, well lit, new TV with full cable. Staff was very accommodating. A great deal for $49/night. Breakfast was perfectly adequate. Only negatives were all in the bathroom (Room #7): 1. Small, crowded toilet 2. Slow-flushing toilet 3. Water smelled like bleach

Wonderful staff that is really concerned with your needs and comfort. Older rooms but well maintained. Very quiet, I have never heard people from the rooms next door or any outside noise. A variety of choices with their continental breakfast...they are very generous! I have been coming here for more than 5 yrs, snd they really make me feel like a part of their "Family Of Guests"!

I actually stayed here in 2016, when I was out on my very first trucking run with my trainer for Hogan transports from St Louis MO, when the bearing in one of the wheels of our trailer overheated and caught fire on the turnpike. we were stranded in shanksville for four or five days. I remember how cool everything was, many people have mentioned the "retro" vibe, and I'm happy to see it's still operating like that! I remember the small lobby filled with plants, and the very kind gentleman who took our company checks, as it was really the only way to pay and most large hotel chains don't accept these particular checks. The breakfast left a little to be desired, but was still a kind gesture. I'll never forget the memorial he had of the flight 93 tragedy on Sept 11th, I hope he still has that up. overall, if I ever come through this part of Pennsylvania again, and need a room for the night, I'll most certainly stay here!

I loved it , for the price you can’t beat ! It’s cozy , nice sized tv , always nice and clean . Roger is an absolute hoot ! He always makes sure you have clean towels , and whatever necessities are needed . Can’t beat the koi fishes in the front desk . Super cute and nostalgic ! I also love how there are stores and restaurants nearby .

These rooms are an absolute retro time machine. They're campy and dated, sure, but in a delightful way — quiet and clean, and the service from 'Roger' at the front desk was superb. The front lobby is a blast — multiple little fountains, even some tiny koi fish in one. Very much looking forward to the breakfast in the morning!

He treat me whit very gentle and make me part of the family.
